ListPlanIt review and giveaway
Written by valmg on September 10, 2008 – 9:04 pm
I’ve made lists for myself for years. Some people laugh at me but I find it’s the most effective way to keep track of things and get things done. I make lists on stickies and put them on my monitor and my wallet when I’m at work. I email myself lists. I have a list on my refrigerator. I have lists in my BusyBodyBook, which is on my desk. I have to do lists on my computer, in Thunderbird and ReminderFox. If you’re a list person like me, or if you’re a person that would benefit from some organizational assistance, ListPlanIt is for you.
ListPlanIt is a subscription based service that specializes in lists. Once you join ListPlanIt you have access to all of the lists. Memberships are available for periods of 3 and 12 months. A 3 month membership is $9.95 and a 12 month membership is $29.95. The lists all open with Adobe Reader, so no expensive software is needed. You can save a list to your computer and print it whenever you need. Or, if you want to print the lists to store in a binder for future use, helpful tips are given on how to set one up. The only things not included in the subscription are eplanners. Eplanners are available to purchase at $4.95 each and have 10-25 lists all pertaining to the same subject. A free newsletter is available as well.
There are currently more than 350 ready to use lists available to members to use for their home or business, all of which can be downloaded an unlimited amount of times. Lists are broken down into categories on the easy to navigate, ad free site. Currently, list categories include new lists, business planning, club organization, contact info, family matters, financial planning, holidays and special occasions, home management, meal planning, memories record, moving, personal interests, time management, for fun, relationships, student planning and travel planning. New lists are added on a regular basis. Within each category members will find all sorts of lists, planning pages, calendar pages and charts. My favorite lists are the grocery list with menu, the calorie counter list, the camper/rv packing list and the monthly blog topic list and blog post planner. (I also liked the shopping at Target and shopping at Walmart lists, but I was forbidden to use those after I used all the printer paper.)
ListPlanIt was created by Jennifer Tankersley, who you can also find over on the List Mama Blog, where tips, ideas and how to’s are all presented in, you guessed it, list format. Jennifer has a new blog called 100 Days To Christmas launching on September 16 that will be offering something new each day to inspire and motivate you as the holidays approach. There’s also a little teaser that says visitors can expect frequent giveaways, so be sure to add it to your favorites like I did.
Want one? I have one 3 month membership to ListPlanIt to give away. To enter, visit the ListPlanIt website. Then come back here and leave a comment telling me one thing you find challenging to keep organized and at least one list that you’d like to check out. Comments must say both things to be eligible. Contest ends Saturday 09/20/08 at 11:59AM est. Good luck to all who enter.
THIS GIVEAWAY IS OVER.

I need a way to keep all my business stuff organized, as I am always learning something new.
I like the idea of the social networking log, the blog post planner and the newsletter planner…my top 3, so far!

I find remembering to do everything is my most challenging aspect of keeping organized. I’m always forgetting the little things that need to be done.
A list I would like to check out would be the My 21 Meals list. I struggle with meal planning and would hope this would help.
Thanks for the chance to win the 3 month membership.

The one thing I find challenging to keep organized is all our bill pay stuff. I don’t keep up with that as well as I should.
I would like to check out the month of blog topics, social networking log and most definitely the newsletter planner.
I just read Karla’s post above and noticed she picked the same three things I did LOL! I bet they are popular lists.
Thanks!

I find it a challenge to organize my paperwork and the things I need to get done both immediately and in the future. I like the home inventory list and the project lists for all 4 seasons is great. The daily to do list is a must also.

The My 21 Meals List would come in handy for me. I love to cook, and it is hard to keep track of all those random recipes. Great giveaway, thanks!

I need the entire home management section, I’m terribly unorganized! My favorite list though has to be GIRL’S CLOTHING INVENTORY
