Review of Curel Natural Healing lotion

I recently was finding that the skin on my legs was very itchy and driving me crazy. After doing some reading, I decided it was likely that I was suffering from winter itch. I’ve never considered my skin dry, so this was a bit of a surprise to me. Many people online have written that lotion helped, so I decided to get some lotion and see if I could cure the problem myself.
I had received a coupon for a free container of Curel lotion a while back and decided this was the perfect time to put it to use. A little over a week ago I picked out a 13 oz bottle of Curel Natural Healing 24 Hour Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It’s labeled for dry skin. It contains honey, vanilla and shea butter. Shea butter is naturally rich in vitamins A and E. Honey is a natural skin softener. Vanilla is an anti-oxidant and an anti-inflammatory.
I decided I’d be applying the lotion to my legs each morning after showering before work, because my understanding is that it’s best to apply lotion for a purpose such as this when the skin is still damp because the lotion is supposed to lock in the moisture. My first instinct was to dry, so I had to actually remind myself not to.
The lotion is in a pump dispenser. It comes out cool to the touch, despite the fact that my house is heated to about 72 degrees. The lotion is quite thick and heavy, about the consistency of instant pudding or custard. It is not slimy to the touch, like some of the oily products available on the market. It’s not really greasy either, and doesn’t leave your hands feeling like you need to bathe. The skin felt less dry immediately after the first application. After using it daily for over a week the skin is much smoother and softer, and I haven’t had any itching at all.
I have continued using the Curel even though the itching has stopped. I’m really pleased with the way it has stopped the itch, and like the way the skin feels much softer and smoother too. I recommend this lotion for anyone with itchy or dry skin. Curel lotions can be bought in many grocery and department stores. This particular type comes in 1 and 13 ounce sizes. The 13 ounce size was selling for $6 at the time I picked mine up .
