It isn’t all that often that I receive hair care samples. This is a Dove Cool Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner.

Dove Cool Moisture Shampoo is for all hair types according to the packaging and promises to leave my hair “feeling clean and revitalized”. I have oily hair to begin with so I always worry a little when I see something that says moisturizing or for all hair types. When I poured out the shampoo it had less color than most shampoos I’ve seen and it seemed sort of shimmery. I tried getting a picture of what I mean but it only looks like I have a wet hand. I immediately smelled a pleasant cucumber scent. The shampoo lathered up really nicely and after rinsing my hair felt clean and squeaky.

Dove Cool Moisture Conditioner is also for all hair types according to its package, which promises to leave hair “soft and feeling fresh”. The shimmery white conditioner was closer in texture and color to many other conditioners. This product also had a pleasant cucumber scent. After towel drying my hair I noticed that the comb slid through my hair quite nicely and that my hair felt soft and sleek.

After almost two hours my hair had dried. I could still smell a tiny hint of cucumber. My hair felt really light and soft. I don’t know for sure if the way my hair felt was because of the shampoo, the conditioner or the combination of the shampoo and conditioner. My curls seemed bouncier and more defined than they had been beforehand. I was very pleased with the results and recommend this pair of hair care products.
