I recently started trying to be more conscious of what I’m eating so I’ve been buying 100 calorie snack packs to bring to work. This is a review of the Keebler Right Bites Fudge Shoppe Mini Fudge Stripes cookies.

One box of these snack cookies contains six pouches. The picture in the upper left is of the box as it appears on the store shelf. One pouch is 0.74 ounces and is considered one serving. The picture on the upper right is of one pouch. One pouch typically has about ten mini cookies and is 100 calories. The package tells me that these have zero trans fats, 3.5 grams of fat and 70 mg of sodium. If you can’t have gluten like my son, be aware the cookies do contain wheat. The cookies are small, measuring less than 1 inch. The picture on the lower left is of one cookie on top of thebox, illustrating the size shown on the box is very close to actual size.

The combination of the chocolate on the shortbread is tasty and is just like the taste of the cookies in the regular sized package of Fudge Stripes cookies. The inside of the packaging is foil lined. Now that we’re getting some nice weather I have noticed that the chocolate on the cookies gets a bit sticky or tacky and the cookies stay together. They’re not too easy to get apart without getting chocolate all over your hands. I haven’t tried the cookies cold but I can’t imagine I’d like them that way. Because of the type of cookie they are they aren’t terribly moist. I always need something to drink when I eat these. The picture on the lower right is of one full serving of the cookies on top of their foil lined pouch.

Because I get up so early (usually 4am) I usually eat lunch early, around 11am. Having lunch at 11am means that I have a long time to go until it’s time for dinner with my family, usually around 7pm. This is why I have a light snack. I find one package of these mini cookies just enough to fill me up and hold me over until dinner.

Keebler Right Bites Fudge Shoppe Mini Fudge Stripes cookies are sold in grocery stores and department stores such as Walmart and Target. I got my box on sale for $1.99 and I’ve seen a box selling for as much as $3.49. The small pouches are convenient for bringing places. They travel well but try and keep them in a cool spot or your ten little cookies will have formed 4 or 5 bigger cookies. I recommend these for anyone trying to monitor their intake or just eat a little more cautiously.
