Review of Logitech MX310 Optical Mouse

Written by valmg on June 21, 2008 – 4:26 pm

After FINALLY getting the MacBook Pro that I have wanted for so long I now find myself having to shop for some accessories and must haves. First on the list is a mouse. The pad on the MacBook Pro works and I do all right with it but I’m so much more comfortable with a mouse. Actually, I’m most comfortable with a trackball but getting something that big sort of defeats the whole idea of portability.

After looking around and touching every mouse that works with OS X I could get my hands on I finally bought a Logitech MX310 Optical Mouse. It’s a nice looking mouse, all silver and black. It’s extremely light, which was a must since it will be in a laptop carry case. It’s got a sculpted design that will work for left or right handed people and it fits my hand comfortably and naturally. It has a total of six buttons in all. I love the quick switch button that lets me move around between all open applications and documents, and I also love the forward and back buttons on the side. The mouse glides along, even on my old cloth Winnie the Pooh mousepad. The built in scroll wheel is very smooth. The mouse connects to the ps2 or usb port.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive mouse for home or for travel, I highly recommend the Logitech MX310 Optical Mouse. I bought it on sale for $24.99. The mouse retails for approximately $29.99 and is available for purchase in mass retailers and online.
