Review of Weight Watchers Golden Sponge Cake

Written by valmg on September 27, 2008 – 7:10 pm

I have a big appetite. And I’m overweight. So, lately I have been trying to eat a little better and a little less. When I received an opportunity from the Family Review Network to try the Weight Watchers Golden Sponge Cakes I jumped on it like it was the last piece of cheesecake on earth.

The Weight Watchers Golden Sponge Cakes look like tiny Twinkies, tiny meaning in the proximity of less than half of a Twinkie. The actual size of one cake is basically what is shown on the box, as shown in my pictures. The consistency is very much like a Twinkie but they are bit drier and the amount of sugary filling is much less. The taste is The cakes are just enough to satisfy a craving for something sweet without pushing you off of the diet wagon. I did find that I had to have a glass of milk or a cup of coffee when I ate one.

Weight Watchers Golden Sponge Cakes have 80 calories each and are worth 1 Weight Watchers point. There are six individually wrapped cakes in one box. They are available for purchase in many grocery stores across the nation. If you’re on Weight Watchers, counting your calories or just trying to cut back, these might do it for you.
