One of the things my youngest son CJ and I both really enjoy are jigsaw puzzles. He is amazing with them and never tires of them. I was asked if I’d be willing to review a site offering nothing but jigsaw puzzles. Since there really isn’t a big selection of puzzles appropriate for my son I’m always on the lookout for more. It’s with this in mind that I accepted the opportunity to review Crazy4Jigsaws.com.

Crazy4Jigsaws.com is a site offering more than 800 jigsaw puzzles that you can play online, with a new puzzled added daily. Puzzles are made from pictures that are family friendly and safe for children (or work, LOL), or from your own uploaded photo. Players can choose to do puzzles containing 12 - 300 pieces, as well as the shape of those pieces.

Membership to the site is free. Puzzle solving time is recorded for registered users with the hopes of being added to the high scores listed on the site. Players receive points for completing puzzles. Those points can be used to acquire raffle tickets for a monthly drawing. A premium membership is also available beginning at $4.95 per month. The premium membership has the benefits of the free membership plus additional features such as availability of larger images and more puzzle cuts, the ability to save a progress on a puzzle to continue later, the ability to rotate puzzle pieces, the ability to solve the puzzle in full screen, adjustable puzzle size and user selected background.

I received a one month premium membership for this review. I found the site attractive and easy to navigate. The puzzles are all made from colorful, high resolution pictures.

To play you browse the Puzzle Gallery, which is broken down into categories. Once you find the puzzle you want to do you just click on a picture to begin.

You use the mouse to click on a piece and place it where you think it goes. If that’s the right spot it locks into place automatically. I liked the flexibility of the site - I can do an easy or hard puzzle depending on how long I want to play, or I can do a hard one and my son can do an easier one. The only suggestion I can offer for improvement is that I’d like it better if the puzzle fit the playing area. In the game the playing area is always the same size. I think it would be helpful for players if the playing area was the same size as the puzzle. I’d also like to see a few more puzzles added for youth players but since they add a new puzzle every day I’m sure that more will be added in time. If you or anyone in your family enjoys jigsaw puzzles, this site is a must see.
