Sesame Street Season 41 Begins September 27
Sesame Street, the world’s largest informal children’s educator, launches its new season on September 27th, 2010 on PBS KIDS, and includes everything you love about Sesame Street and much more. With a brand new segment, “Super Grover 2.0,” young children will become active participants in the processes of scientific inquiry as they watch their favorite furry and blue superhero observe, question, and investigate as he literally stumbles upon solutions to problems all across the planet.
In true Sesame Street fashion, season 41 features an exciting roster of original parodies and celebrities including: Academy Award-nominated actor, Jude Law; Golden Globe Award-winning actors Colin Farrell, Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman; Emmy Award-winning comedian Wanda Sykes; NFL superstars Reggie Bush and LaDainian Tomlinson; Grammy Award-winning artists Will.i.am, Usher and Michael McKean; pop star Katy Perry; Modern Family’s Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell; Parks & Recreation’s Amy Poehler; The Closer’s Kyra Sedgwick; Actors Zoe Saldana, Taye Diggs, Idina Menzel, Chris O’Donnell, Jim Parsons and many more. Parodies include: “True Mud,” a play on the popular HBO series, True Blood; “The Furry Four,” a humorous take on The Fantastic Four; “Ironing Monster,” a parody of the comic book superhero Iron Man; “The Closer,” a parody of the television show The Closer; and “A Team,” a parody of the television show The A-Team with Ryan Reynolds as big ‘A.’
