ABOUT ELMO’S TRAVEL SONGS AND GAMES
Elmo’s Travel Songs and Games follows Elmo and Abby as they embark on a fun-filled road trip to the zoo with Elmo’s Dad. To help pass the time, they play stimulating travel games featuring the alphabet, counting, shapes and rhyming. Sing along with them to family favorites “Let’s Go Driving” and “The Bear Went Over The Mountain,” as well as the new “Are We There Yet?” song. Don’t forget to buckle up and go to the bathroom before you go on your trip, Elmo shows you why that is important!
MY THOUGHTS
I received a copy of the Elmo’s Travel Songs And Games DVD. CJ still loves the Sesame Street characters so we watched together. The DVD is full of typical Sesame fare including lots of colorful monsters, fun songs and stories with a point, as well as games you can play at home or in a car. I love that the characters discuss why wearing a seatbelt is important, and that they talk about reminding children to go to the bathroom before leaving on a trip. I had to laugh when Abby repeatedly asks “are we there yet”, as well as when Elmo asked to go to the bathroom right after they made a bathroom stop. I love the travel theme of this DVD, it’s perfect for not only traveling but also indoor pretend play on a rainy day.
